Henry Ford Academy: Alameda School for Art + Design (HFA), has developed and implemented an Alternate Learning Plan for its high school students as a result of COVID-19.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources for Families
This afternoon, UTSA announced that it is extending spring break for its students through the week of March 15 so it can continue to prepare its campuses against the threat of coronavirus while ensuring the academic progress of its students. They are doing this with an abundance of caution and the knowledge that many of their students have traveled distances during their break.

2019 A-F Accountability Rating
We are pleased to report that the Texas Education Agency has recognized Henry Ford Academy: Alameda School for Art + Design with a “B” report card rating in its 2019 A-F Accountability Ratings, with distinction in Social Studies. Our school’s rating shows improvement over the prior year.

Announcing a New School Leader
Mr. Jeremiah Montez, one of our school’s founding lead teachers, has
enthusiastically accepted an offer to become acting Superintendent/Principal of HFA: Alameda School as of August 1, 2018.
HFA Students Soar at VASE Regionals
Fourteen of our HFA students participated in the regional Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) competition at East Central High School — with stellar results! Of those 14 students, every single one received the highest score of IV and seven received perfect scores of 60. One of the students, Paul A., was chosen to move onto the state competition. We are so proud of the students and their incredible artwork:
TEA Accountability Ratings
HFA is on the move! Newly-released TEA Accountability Ratings show that our school met all target standards and increased scores on every indices. Superintendent Todd reflects: “As they say, all great change takes time and change is happening. We are working to create sturdy academic foundations so we may continue to lead our students on the path of becoming lifelong learners. Congratulations to students, parents, and staff! Using Design Thinking to Strengthen School Culture
Over the course of two days, teams participated in activities to create connections and design a way to strengthen the culture across the school community.
